Description du contenu de l'enseignement

In this course the student should acquire the basic knowledge in :
  • Modelling of human segments and validation as well as human body protection against standards and biomechanical criteria;
  • Focus to state of the art finite element head models and protective systems developed;
  • Computational Engineering used in industry (automotive, aerospace, defense, dummies, Human body models, protective systems…);
  • Initiation of Explicit FE resolution. Used of Hypermesh, Hypercrash, Radioss, Hyperview;
  • Introduction on structure optimization as well as morphing technique by using commercial solvers;
  • Identification of a question and proposition of an adapted solution, Steps to create a model (meshing problem, mechanical laws implementation, input, boundary conditions, output, validation…).

Compétences à acquérir

  • To be able to follow a methodology to create a FEM and to answer to a specific question;
  • To be able to model and to validate a structure for crash applications;
  • To know powerful computational tools available in engineering domain.
