Description du contenu de l'enseignement

To acquire basic notions related to the evolution properties of complex supramolecular systems (in their structures and dynamics) and that involve a combination of diversity generation and selection processes. To understand the emergence properties in complex (bio)chemical systems.
  • Dynamic principles in supramolecular self-assemblies: systems functioning either at or out of thermodynamic equilibrium (2 hours)
  • Examples of dynamic behaviors in living systems (2 hours)
  • Complex structures in supramolecular self-assemblies (2D / 3D / topology and knots) (4 hours)
  • Auto-catalysis and self-replication (2 hours)
  • Dynamic combinatorial chemistry: principles and applications in biology, catalysis, and materials (4 hours)
  • Synthetic principles and examples of optimized functions by directed evolution (2 hours)
  • Molecular machines and motors – out-of-equilibrium motions and related functions (4 hours)
  • Supramolecular polymers under thermodynamic, kinetic, or dissipative conditions: mechanisms, structures, applications (4 hours)
